Hope of Africa (HOFA) is a women-led civil society organization based in the South-West Region of Cameroon. Established in 2016 and legally recognized in 2019, HOFA works to promote peacebuilding, humanitarian support, women’s empowerment, human rights advocacy, and climate justice.
Our work is rooted in the belief that empowered women are catalysts for sustainable peace and community transformation.
Women play a critical role in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and sustainable development. HOFA exists to amplify their voices and strengthen their participation in shaping peaceful and prosperous societies.
To catalyze transformative change in the lives of women and girls by advancing their rights, amplifying their voices, and driving innovative, inclusive solutions that reshape how society values, protects, and empowers women.
A just and equitable world where women and girls fully enjoy their rights to survival, protection, development, and meaningful participation in all spheres of life.
If women are empowered with the skills, agency, and platforms to participate in non-violent action, dialogue, and community decision-making, and if communities adopt inclusive and responsive approaches to conflict prevention and resolution, then social cohesion will be strengthened and violence will be reduced, enabling women to drive sustainable peace and transformative change in their communities.
